UK competition brand rankings

Methodology

• Top rated: Trustpilot TrustScore (as shown on each brand's Trustpilot profile, one decimal), for brands with at least 250 reviews (43 brands qualify). Higher score first; ties are broken by the number of reviews. Scores read on 31 October 2026. Our most trusted list uses a review-adjusted score instead, so the two orders differ.
• Most followed: Facebook followers of the page linked from the brand's own website only (the same check as on brand pages), read from public search results; approximate, latest reading 31 October 2026. Page likes are not counted.
• FB growth: the change between two of our own follower readings of the same page, at least 28 days apart. We don't have that history yet, so the list starts next month.
• Newest brands: brands with a live competition website that we found in the last 92 days of new registrations, newest first. Brands that are only “launching soon” are left out.
• DCMS Code signatories: brands on the Government's Voluntary Code signatory list whose website we matched, ordered by number of Trustpilot reviews. Signing the Code is a basic signal, not proof that a site is well run. New signatories use the dates in GOV.UK's own update notes for the Code page; from 31 October 2026 we also save the list daily and record the first day a name appears or disappears. We never estimate join dates.
• One entry per website: when several companies share a website, the brand is listed once. Each list shows the top 10.
• Updated automatically: rankings are rebuilt with the site, so figures change as we re-read the sources. At the end of each month we keep a snapshot to show movement the following month.

Trustpilot and Facebook are not affiliated with Competition Brands. Ratings and follower counts can be incomplete, out of date or inflated, and a high position is not an endorsement. Brands can show their position with a Competition Brands badge.
